I'll be posting some detailed breakdowns on my Femsen/Eve Jensen cosplay, because hey, maybe this will be useful to someone in the future.

Paperclay, polymer clay, acrylic paint and DuraClear glaze can all be found at craft stores. Neodymium magnets can be found at hardware stores.

If I were to redo these props, I would probably use a matte glaze, and make sure to angle the magnets so that I could actually wear the lenses with the frames. Also, use two magnets to secure the lenses instead of one so that they can't move around.

Wait, do you glue them into your face so they hold or it's done the other way?

I "paint" the surface facing me with spirit gum, which is an adhesive used in stage productions, to attach the frames to my face.

Holy Christmas, this is awesome. I've been looking to do a Deus Ex cosplay for a while now (not even a cosplay, just walk around with these fucking sunglasses), but I couldn't find a decent tutorial for making them.

Do you think you might be able to scan your sketches and put them up so I (and anyone else) could cut them out more easily?

Sure thing, I'll scan them and post them soon! :)

Well, mistake made and lesson learned, I guess. Try removing the magnet on the frame again and use something like an engraving tool to cut out the material until the angle is just right for the glasses.

Awesome work, how do you wear them? Do they stay on alright?

Thank you! I wasn't able to wear the lenses because I messed them up, but the frames were fine--I stuck them onto my face using spirit gum, and they were fine the whole day. :)
